The Classification of The Flame Retardant Fabric

Fire retardant fabric as applied to organic (i.e., containing carbon) materials, is intended to refer to reduced fire hazard, as all will burn under certain circumstances. The tests used specified in building codes, such as NFPA 701, are more correctly flame resistance tests, which test a fabric's ability to resist ignition with the flame size and duration in the test conditions.The result is a comparative test, which provides a measure of the material's resistance to propagating combustion caused by small scale ignition sources. These tests do not predict the burning characteristics of full scale hazards. In many cases, if exposed to a sufficiently large and sustained exposure fire, the fire-retardant fabrics will burn vigorously.
CP flame retardant fabric is also called Pyrovatex CP and is made with imported technology and imported environmentally friendly flame retardant. After flame retardant processing, although the CP textile strength loss is slightly larger than that of the Proban flame retardant fabrics, some strength loss compensator can be added or appropriate formulation and baking time adjustment can be done to improve the textiles’ strength loss. Textiles treated with CP flame retardant is superior to Proban flame retardant fabrics and the most important point is the textiles formaldehyde content after water scrubbing and formaldehyde catching treatment can totally reach foreign standards and the formaldehyde content will not rebound as time changes.
Aramid flame retardant fiber (scientific name: Meta-aromatic polyamide, called aramid1313 fiber domestically) features heat resistance, high strength, high abrasion resistance, good flexibility, low shrinkage, stable chemical structure, no molten drop when burning, no poison gas production, etc. Fabrics woven with aramid flame retardant fiber have good size stability and can be used for a long time at a temperature lower than 250 degrees Celsius. Its thermal shrinkage rate is just 1% and the fiber softening temperature is 373 degrees Celsius and the fiber will not decompose until the temperature exceeds 400 degrees Celsius. When decomposing, the cloth cover thickens; the fiber expands; the outside of the fabric can isolate heat transfer at 900-1300 degrees Celsius but not crack. This fabric can be made into flight clothing, anti-chemical warfare suits, fire fighting suits, blast furnace overalls, electrical welding overalls, radiation protection overalls, chemical protective clothing, high voltage shielding clothing and other special protective clothing. Clothing made of our aramid flame retardant fabric have the following functions:
1. Permanent heat resistance and flame retardancy and the Limit Oxygen Index (LOI) is greater than 28
2. Permanent antistatic property
3. Permanent acid-base resistance and organic solvent erosion resistance
4. High strength, high wear resistance and high tear resistance
5. No molten drop generation in case of fire and no toxic gases production
6. Cloth cover thickened, tightness increases and not crack when being burned
Acrylic/cotton flame retardant fabric is made of modacrylic fiber with flame retardant property. When vinyon is blended with cotton or other cellulose fibers, its limit oxygen index (LOI) can reach 28 to 32. The fabric’s outstanding flame retardant performance will not reduce as time goes by or with the washing times. Our acrylic cotton flame retardant fabric is suitable for the multiple-functional demands of industrial and fire-fighting protection clothing and has passed the tests of the petrochemical, electric power or gas industry. It is tested by MTL, TUV, SGS and other authorities that its properties can all reach the standards of EN11612 (former EN531), EN11611 (former EN470-1), EN533, 16CFR, NFPA2112 and ASTM, etc.

EN471 Fluorescent Fabric: The front of the fluorescent polyester and cotton mixed fabric produced by us is polyester, which is conducive to achieving bright color and the back is high-strength cotton, which has a large strength, is comfortable to body, reaches the EN471 standard and has related certificate. The product has fluorescent orange, fluorescent yellow and fluorescent red three colors, weighs between 180gsm and 360gsm and contains twill and satin weave two types. The match ratio of polyester and cotton has both direct ratio and inverse ratio. It is a woven fabric very suitable for being used as working cloth fabric. In addition, anti static, water resistance, flame retardant and other functions have been developed on this fabric. Our fluorescent oxford cloth and polyester single-yarn twill also obtained the EN471 fluorescent certificate and also have such functions as antistatic, flame retardant, waterproof and moisture adsorption, etc.
