What are the common flame retardant fabric standards in China?
(1) GB17591 "Flame Retardant Woven Fabric"
This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and packaging and marking of flame retardant woven fabrics. The standard classifies the flame retardant properties of flame retardant woven fabric into two levels: 1) B1 grade: damage length ≤ 150MM, afterburning time ≤ 5S, smoldering time ≤ 5S; 2) B2 grade: damage length ≤ 200MM, continuous combustion Time ≤ 15S, smoldering time ≤ 10S. The test method for flame retardant performance is in accordance with GB/T5455. According to the product use or by the supply and demand sides to determine the assessment level, the general B1 level is suitable for the decorative cloth for special needs, and the B2 level is suitable for all kinds of decorative cloth.
(2) GB8965 "flame retardant clothing"
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection procedures, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of flame retardant clothing. It is only suitable for workers who have open flames, emit sparks, operate near molten metal and have flammable substances. Flame retardant clothing for use in places where fire is dangerous. The flame retardant properties of its flame retardant fabrics shall be tested in accordance with GB/T5455 and meet the B1 requirements specified in GB17591.
(3) GB50222 "Code for Fire Protection Design of Interior Decoration of Buildings"
This standard specifies the flame retardant requirements and test methods for decorative fabrics in the home (such as curtains, curtains, bedspreads, furniture covers, etc.). According to the vertical test of GB/T5455, the decorative fabrics in underground civil buildings must meet the requirements of Class B1. The decorative fabrics in high-rise civil buildings must meet the requirements of Class B1. The bedspreads of houses and hotels in high-rise civil buildings must reach Class B1 requirements, while curtains, curtains, and furniture covers are also required to meet Class B1 or Class B2 requirements depending on the building and location.
